WATCH: #MuziMondays Episode’s 1-3 By: Muzi [Video]

One of the many things that I find (quite a few) South African artists miss sometimes with audiences is a personality. Something that makes them seem like they’re human…or rather the idea that makes them seem like they are something other than just musicians who wake up to make music. When Babes Wodumo was snubbed of an award a few years ago, both her and Mampintsha went onto their own social media to address their feelings about it, and were met with a lot critism about who they ‘really’ are, which would be people from Durban who do have days were they also feel cheated, they swear, they can be rude.

Here we have both an artist has been in the background for a lot of things that have honestly have been overlooked. Producer/DJ Muzi, from Empangeni, has created a beautiful series #MuziMondays that is based on his creativity on YouTube. The first season is based on South African music from the 90’s going back, which he remixes and plays in sets when performing live. I’m still perplexed as to why it’s still got under a 1000 views. What’s different with this…simply put…

He’s doing it independently.

You understand the type of person he is, the creative and the human.

The music is ridiculously dope.

Peep the links below for the first 3 episodes, and don’t forget to hit us up in the comment section about what you think of the work he’s doing.
