STREAM: Lorreta ft. Captain Blu – Dance [Audio]

RnB music rising star, Lorreta, releases her latest single “Dance”, a banging hit with authentic local flavour.

Dance sees Lorreta partnering with one of Nigeria’s hottest dancehall exports, Captain Blu – SA based producer and songwriter popularly known for his recent hit single “Zanga.” The song presents a dancehall style fused with electronic “Ultra” sounds whilst honing in on the currently trending South African house music scene. Perfectly balance by the Caribbean RnB flavours on the vocals, ultimately creating a pop or dance atmosphere, but still remaining true to Lorreta‘s remarkable RnB flair in perfect harmony

Commenting on the inspiration behind “Dance”, Lorreta said: ”I’ve always been fascinated by dancehall music and enthralled with the idea of “Love”. Hence in a natural chain of events because of the musical influences of where I’m from this song was bound to me and I to it. I enjoy making interesting musical blends and I wanted to demonstrate that I am indeed a global citizen.”

Lorreta is extremely excited about the collaboration with Captain Blu: ‘‘To be honest, Captain Blu‘s role on this track was initially intended for South African Gqom Artist ‘Moonchild Sanelly’ and when discussions with this artist lapsed, because Blu had produced the beat he had felt that it was too hot of a song to pass by so asked to jump on and it all came together. Furthermore, there will be a remixed release as well featuring Tanzanian born Canadian based rapper Erick Rush.”

The 29-year-old is determined to make her mark in the music industry in SA, Africa and abroad. ”I’ve always believed that I was born to be great and furthermore that the economies of time will eventually work in my favour if I’m consistent in my beliefs, that build my character, that translate into actions/activities that will eventually impact the community. My start just happens to be in music. I would like to encourage all, and especially women, out there by saying that whatever your dream may be remember that optimism is the key. Many people have ambition and talent but optimism is the key that rewards your patience.”
