Canadian trio BADBADNOTGOOD continue to garner a buzz and a massive international fan base with their rambunctious performances, original pieces, and overall mastery of the jazz genre. Their infectious instrumentation has impressed fans and artists alike. Legendary rap wizard Ghostface Killah took notice and has joined the budding band for a 12-track album entitled Sour Soul.
After several captivating releases, including the raucous “Six Degrees” featuring Danny Brown, they are drawing near the Feb. 23 release date. Their latest offering comes in the form of the funky MF DOOM-assisted “Ray Gun.” Upon pressing play it is as if we are transported to 1960s London in a smoky, dimly lit swingers club. Listeners sip gin and tonics and smoke cigarettes as GFK and DOOM effortlessly trade slick rhymes over the hypnotic instrumentation. The club erupts in applause as the Canadian trio proceeds to finish with an ominous jam that leaves the people grooving and wanting more.
