Well it appears that rapper Ifani has managed to achieve what most asserted he could not, selling 20,000 copies of his “I Believes In Me: 2nd Quadrant” in one day. The gold status of his album was confirmed when earlier today he received a shiny gold plaque from his record label Sony Music. His second release was promoted with the massive banger “Settle Down” produced by Durban born producer Muzi, and with a campaign by the rapper to for his fans to make the album go gold on the first day. Like the eccentric rapper or not, but he has now set a precedent in the hip-hop game and accomplished a feat most South African rappers won’t ever get to experience. Congratulations are definitely in order. Check out the gold-selling artist’s tweet below.
